The Many Styles of Maxi Dresses

As a Muslimah, it’s very important to wear something that are humble and conservative and one of the best fashion item or clothing that actually speaks these volumes to me are maxi dresses. They are long and some comes in flowy fabric and pretty designs and I just love no matter what body shaped you are, there is always a maxi dress that is perfect for you. Now unlike some who will wear maxi dresses on its own or those with long slits, there is a more conservative way to wearing maxi dresses for Muslimahs. These are my favourite styles that I try, sometimes when it comes to styling maxi dresses.

Boyfriend’s Jackets
Other than maxi dresses, I am also in love with boyfriend’s jackets. I love them because they can be both formal and casual, depending on the design, tailoring and of course on how we style them. Bold colours are basically meant for more formal appearances and the patterned ones or the ones made of more comfortable or light fabrics are perfect for casual wear. On top of that, I like boyfriend’s jackets is because they are not fitted to the body which is perfect for me and you can styled them to fit your own personality whether you’re girly or edgy.

Cardigans
Cardigans especially loose cardigans are my other favourite clothing. They are loose and somehow everything will look pretty when you wear anything with cardigan. I know I can hide those extra rolls and spare tires every time I put on a cardigan and that is why I think by pairing the cardigan with maxi dresses will definite look amazing.
Abayas
Now how I can I not include in one of the best Muslimah friendly style – The Abaya. Abaya is not my favourite clothing in general because I’m too short and wearing an abaya will only accentuate my height which I don’t really like especially since I am also, heavy. But, putting my size and my height aside, I know many girls out there who have paired the abaya with maxi dresses and they look just as cute.
Cropped Sweaters
I have never tried this trend but I do want to try it and that is the cropped sweater. I feel like the styling of pairing the dresses and cropped sweaters will give a more young and youthful look and energy. Wearing a sweater in Malaysia or any parts of South East Asia’s countries would not be the ideal thing to do because of the weather but it’s definitely something that will look very cute.
